Location: Rugby

Shift Pattern: 6:30pm to 6:30am nights. 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

Salary: £11.50 p/hr LTD. £10.20 PAYE

What is the role?

Due to the growth of the business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a transport planner/coordinator for a prestigious Retail customer.

Working alongside a strong operations team, the focus of the role will be the main point of contact of the site during you shift. Liaising with the clients day to day operational needs, ensuring that all legal requirements are adhered to correctly and vehicles are of roadworthy standard for the ever so important, Eddie Stobart drivers.

What will the role entail?

In this role, the suitable candidate will need to have relevant transport experience, legal and compliance knowledge, and strong communication skills. Most importantly, the willingness to be a part of the ever-growing Eddie Stobart team.


  • Work with the Agency Providers to ensure that we are fully compliant with WTD regulations
  • DVSA Stops - Ensure investigated and remedial actions instigated
  • Fleet defects - Ensure the Maintenance fleet database is populated and monitored
  • Accident and Incident reporting.
  • Weekly cab checks are to be completed ensuring standards are maintained

What kind of person are you looking for?

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong transport background or operations at Eddie Stobart or comparable companies.

A knowledge of driver's hours and WTD is desirable. You must be flexible to meet business needs and be able to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of Microsoft Windows package (Word, Excel and Outlook) is also essential as is a good working knowledge of a General Transport System and Microlise/tracking systems.
